Questions for Chapter 10

- In page 99, Atticus said: “it’s a sin to kill a mocking bird”. Why do you think he said this sentence?
- Is it only meaning “mocking bird”?
- Does it have other meaning? If yes, can you tell us what that is?
- Does it relate to the title? Why?
- Why do they kill a dog? Is that only what to tell us Atticus is a good shooter? If not, what does it want to tell us?
- Why is “nigger” a bad word? What is the background knowledge that we need to know?
